Trust and Safety

At Everijob, we prioritize your safety more than anything else because we believe in building a community based on trust. We understand that a lot of effort goes into ensuring the safety of our community, which is why we provide essential tools for you to use the marketplace securely, whether you're buying or selling services and we are committed to helping all users act in a way that preserves trust and respect.

A. Code of conduct

Always ensure that customers are treated with respect.

Freelancers on Everijob are expected to behave professionally, whether online or in person. It is crucial to clean up the site once the job is finished. We emphasize the importance of mutual respect and urge both Freelancers and clients to communicate respectfully. Any form of physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated.

Adhere to the agreements and appointments made with customers:

• Arrive on time for appointments

• Ensure that your quote aligns with the customer's expectations

• Complete the work within the agreed schedule and to the best of your abilities

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to changes in appointments. In such cases, we request that you inform the customer in advance to reschedule.

Provide clear information on costs and timelines:

Customers seek transparency and certainty. They rely on your expertise. It is essential to promptly communicate any alterations to the work schedule and any additional expenses.

Maintain clear and professional communication:

Clients expect a professional quote when investing in their homes. All quotes should be written in simple language. Offers must be transparent, comprehensible, realistic, and include VAT and payment details. Avoid disclosing the fee paid to Everijob while creating the quote.

Deliver exceptional work and be proactive:

The primary focus should be on delivering high-quality work. Only accept leads that you can fulfil and avoid cancelling ongoing jobs. Keep the customer informed of any issues to prevent potential complaints. Remember, you can always seek advice from us on resolving customer concerns.

Adherence to our Quality Standards:

By registering as a tradesperson and utilizing our services, you agree to comply with our quality standards. In case of complaints, an investigation will be conducted, which may lead to the termination of your Everijob account.

B. Buying Safely

Selecting a Freelancer

There is a wealth of information on EVERIJOB to assist you in making an informed decision when choosing a Freelancer, such as:

1. Feedback reviews, which offer insight into the Freelancer's performance based on past projects completed on EVERIJOB.

2. Endorsements, testimonials from clients, colleagues, and peers outside of EVERIJOB.

3. Social connections verified links to the Freelancer's Facebook or LinkedIn account for added trust.

4. Portfolio, highlighting the Freelancer's previous work.

Maintaining Communication in the JobStream

The JobStream serves as a tool to track all project-related communications. It is initiated when you begin communicating with a specific Freelancer. In case of any confusion, it acts as a crucial reference point. Moreover, in the rare event of a dispute with a Freelancer, the JobStream serves as the primary evidence for a fair resolution with EVERIJOB support.

Securing Funds in Stripe

To ensure the safety of both Employers and Freelancers, we offer a Stripe system. This system allows Employers to deposit funds at the project's commencement, giving Freelancers the confidence to begin work without the risk of upfront payment. Funds are only released to the Freelancer upon the Employer's approval of the completed project.

Settling Payment for Completed Projects

Once the work is finished, your Freelancer will send you an invoice through the JobStream. After reviewing the delivered work and confirming its completion (for fixed-price projects or offers), you can proceed with payment, which involves releasing funds from Stripe.

Exclusively Use Everijob for Payments

Engaging in transactions outside of EVERIJOB exposes you to risks. EVERIJOB cannot intervene in projects where payments are made outside of our platform, as per our terms and conditions.

C. Selling Securely

A dream come true or too good to be true.

Is the pay exceptionally high and the workload minimal? While it may appear enticing, it is important to exercise caution when dealing with such dream projects, especially if you have no prior experience with the Employer. If any doubts arise, it is often safer to avoid such opportunities. Additionally, be wary of Employers who request free samples or propose free trials with promises of larger projects. If the samples in your portfolio are not sufficient, always send samples via the Job Stream with appropriate watermarks or in low resolution (if applicable).

Ensure adequate funds in Stripe before commencing work.

To safeguard both Employers and Freelancers, we offer a Stripe system where Employers can deposit funds at the beginning of a project. This not only gives Freelancers the confidence to start working but also eliminates the risk of upfront payment for Employers. Freelancers are advised to always ensure that there are funds in Stripe before starting any work, or at the very least before delivering the final product. It is also important to carefully consider the amount of Stripe deposit requested in your Proposals, especially when dealing with new Employers.

Maintain communication within the JobStream.

The JobStream serves as a valuable tool for keeping track of all project-related communications, including important agreements such as deliverables and timelines. In case of any confusion, it serves as a reliable reference point. In the unlikely event that you require EVERIJOB support to resolve a dispute, the JobStream is the primary source of evidence used to determine a fair outcome.

Always get paid through Everijob.

Ensure you receive payment through Everijob for your work completed by invoicing the Employer in the JobStream. Remember, paying outside of EVERIJOB can leave you vulnerable as we cannot assist with projects where payments are made off-platform. Learn more about invoicing for payment.

Avoid exchanging personal details!

Refrain from sharing personal contact information, especially before a Proposal is accepted or an Offer is purchased. Keep all communication within the JobStream to exchange files and share work samples securely. Remember to conduct all payments through EVERIJOB to avoid sharing sensitive information like bank details.

D. Report abuse / get Help!

Contact our Customer Support Team for assistance or to report any abusive behaviours within the community. Use the "Report" flag on listings, messages, or member profiles to quickly notify us of any issues. Learn more about reaching out to Customer Support.
